An RAF Sentinel aircraft flies over a tactical ground station in Afghanistan. The Astor (Airborne STand-Off Radar) system has played a key role in battlefield intelligence gathering for allied forces. Commissioned by Raytheon Systems Ltd to commemorate the 1000th sortie and 10,000th flying hour of the system, this painting was presented to 5 (AC) Squadron RAF in December 2012 and now hangs in the RAF Club, Piccadilly.
