A flight of AW Meteor NF 13s of 39 Squadron RAF patrol over the Suez Canal in the early 1950s. Based at Kabrit, these aircraft replaced the ageing DH Mosquito NF 36 and had cockpit cooling - highly necessary in the desert heat. Oil on canvas.
