18(B) Squadron Centenary

18 Squadron Centenary painting

Commissioned to commemorate the 100th anniversary of 18(B) Squadron, the painting depicts today's Chinook helicopter and a 1915 Vickers Gunbus operated by the Squadron 100 years before. The helicopter crew are looking up as the vintage aircraft passes over. Oil on canvas.

Unveiling of 18 Sqn Centenary painting at Odiham

The painting was unveiled by HRH The Duke of Gloucester, first cousin to the Queen, at a special 'Centenary Day' at Odiham where a parade and airshow was staged for squadron personnel and their families.
