This painting was commissioned by RAF Marham to mark the 'handover' as the Tornado force winds down and the F-35B Lightning force ramps up. The Tornado carries the markings of the two resident squadrons - 9(B) and 31, both operational when the first F-35Bs arrived. Visible below is the refurbished runway 01/19, new Maintenance and Finishing Facility, Logistics Operations Centre and vertical landing pads under construction. Oil on canvas.
