Founded in November 1964 by Hugh Kennard, Invicta International Airlines was based at Manston, Kent, UK. The airline operated several DC-4s (also known as C54 Cargomasters) before replacing them with later types in the 1970s. The painting depicts one of the DC-4s on the pan at Manston in the mid 1960s. The old control tower can be seen in the distance. Oil on canvas.
