A McDonnell-Douglas Phantom FG.1 XV592 of 111 Squadron lurks in a Hardened Aircraft Shelter at RAF Leuchars in the mid 1980s. The Phantom was the mainstay of the UK's air defence after the Lightning and before the Tornado F3. This painting was commissioned by the retired pilot of this aircraft. Oil on canvas.
