A pair of McDonnell-Douglas Phantom FGR.2s of 56 Squadron depart their Wattisham base during the closing years of the type's RAF service. Replaced by the Tornado in the 1990s, the Phantom enjoyed many years of service in the RAF in both the air defence and ground attack roles. Oil on canvas.
